NEWBURGH, NY – Freshman
Gabe Sturges turned in a fifth place finish as the men's cross country team finished second overall at the Mount Saint Mary's Invitational on Saturday. Nineteen teams competed at the invitational.
Sturges marked a time of 29:17.09 in the 8K distance.
Also finishing in the top-10 was freshman
Ethan Loew as his time of 30:21.85 gave him a career-high 10th place finish. Senior
Max Jack turned in a 30:39.58 to finish 15th overall which sets a season-high.
The Dutchmen will now head to Canton, NY on Oct. 10 for the Liberty League Championships hosted by Saint Lawrence. The meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
