SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – With six meets in the book, the Union College cross country team has only one left, the NCAA Regional. Union and other teams in the region will meet on Saturday at 11 a.m., on the campus of SUNY Geneseo to determine which team will move on to the NCAA Championships.

Leading the women's team is senior Sarah Tardiff, who has had a spectacular season, finishing in the top-10 twice, including a second place finish at Mount Saint Mary's Invitational. Tardiff has also posted a career-best of 19:28.63 in the 5K distance at the NYSCTC on Oct. 24.

Along with Tardiff, senior Rebecca Skudder, sophomores Erin Horgan and Ramsey Steiner and freshman Kyra Burnett will look to improve off their performance at the Saratoga Invitational on Oct. 31.

On the men's side, seniors Max Jack, Zach Patnode and Tom Fagin will look to make a strong performance at the meet. Junior Ben Lawrence's performance at the Saratoga Invitational earned him a spot at the regional this Saturday.

Joining the three seniors and the junior are freshmen Gabe Sturges, Ethan Loew and Brian Solinksy. Sturges has made an impact in his first year, being selected to the All-State team at the NYSCTC as well as being named the New York State Male Rookie of the Year.
