SYRACUSE, N.Y. - On the final day of the UNYSCSA Championship Saturday, the Union College women's swimming & diving team finished fifth in the standings with a score of 777.5. Ithaca was declared the winner with 1,403.

Lexi Bascom finished fifth in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:11.94. Over on the diving board, Meredith Nearpass finished fourth with a score of 421.10 in the three meter dive.

The team of Priscilla Wright, Diana Fletcher, Maria Prendergast and Erica Fugger finished third in 400 yard freestyle relay with a combined time of 3:35.56. Kelly Geary was eighth in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:15.25. In the finals in the 100 freestyle, Union placed sixth, seventh and eighth. Fugger (53.69), Wright (54.20), and Prendergast (54.89) were in that order for the Dutchwomen.
