Dutchwomen finish ninth, Dutchmen finish seventh at NYSCTC Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
The Union College track & field team competed at the NYSCTC Championships on Saturday on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology. The Dutchmen finished seventh in the standings while the Dutchwomen finished ninth. Rensselaer's men and Ithaca's women were declared the winners of the event.

Over on the Dutchwomen's side, Kaitlin Camilleri finished eighth in the weight throw, reaching a distance of 12.10m, setting a personal best. Judy Horan finished in a two-way tie for seventh with Rochester's Brittany Voll in the pole vault, reaching 2.75m. Her performance is also a season best.

Jessica Singer, Michelle Richter and Bethany Crowe teamed up with Horan to finish seventh in the 4x400 meter relay. They combined a time of 4:24.09 and set  season best by 11 seconds.

Phil Lambert and Danton Brewington each highlighted the Dutchmen at the meet. Lambert finished second in the 55 meter hurdles (8.00) to earn a spot in the ECAC Championships on March 5, while Brewington finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 13.24m.

Another notable highlight included the team of Lambert, Davis Barber, Kyle Bucklin and Ethan Loew as they finished fourth in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:25.44 to qualify to the ECAC Championships.

Ryan Owen later teamed up with Lambert, Bucklin and Barber to finish fourth in the 4x200 meter relay. The team combined a time of 1:32.47 to also earn themselves a spot in the ECAC Championships.

Dearon Panossian finished sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00.09 while Barber finished fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.39.
