Dutchmen finish second at UNYSCSA Championship

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -
On the final day of the UNYSCSA Championship Sunday, the Union College men's swimming & diving team finished second. The Dutchmen combined a score of 1,146 while Stevens Institute of Technology won the meet with a score of 1,157.

In the 1,650 yard Freestyle, Steve Schapp finished third with a time of 16:18.35. Stevens' Alex Benham won the event at 15:58.67. Robert Wagner finished fifth in 16:49.05.

In the 200 yard Backstroke, Brian Scarlett finished sixth in the A Final with a time of 1:56.57 while Michael Mooney won the B Final at 1:57.26.

In the 200 yard Breaststroke, Alex Boyd finished third at 2:10.40 while Hartwick's Micha Phillips won the event in 2:04.60. David Sorensen finished eighth in 2:14.89.

Lucas Tiziani finished third in the 200 Yard Butterfly in 1:56.98 while over at the diving board, Ian Drillinger finished fifth in the three meter dive with a score of 422.90. In the final event, a 400 yard Free relay, Jung, Scarlett, Schapp and Todd Herman teamed together and finished fifth with a combined time of 3:08.68.
