TROY, NY – The Union College track and field team competed at the Capital District Classic on Saturday hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. #Bethany Crowe#, #
Danton Brewington# and #
Gabe Sturges# each won an event.
Crowe won the 100 meter hurdles in 16.68. She also finished fourth in the 400 hurdles in 1:07.67. For the second straight week, Brewington won the shot put, reaching 13.37m this week. Sturges won 5,000 meter run in 15:48.61.
Other notable finishes for the Dutchwomen include #Rebecca Skudder# and #Kaitlin Camilleri# finishing third in the 1,500 meter run (4:59.86) and in the hammer throw (38.58m), respectively.
Three Dutchmen also earned top-five finishes. #
Davis Barber# finished second in the 200 meter dash in 22.94 and he also finished third in the 400 meter dash in 50.36. #
Ryan Owen# finished third in the 100 meter dash in 11.75 and fifth in the 200 meter dash in 23.63. #Alex Coppola# finished third in the triple jump in 12.59m.
Union will compete at the NYSCTC Multi-event meet on the campus of Ithaca College on April 25. The meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
