The Union College men's soccer team tied Western Connecticut State University 0-0 Tuesday night at College Park. With the tie the Dutchmen are now 2-0-1 on the season.

Union had many opportunities throughout the game but missed by inches on several occasions and came up empty handed on the night. Adam Margulies hands were busy however, especially late in the second overtime period.

Margulies knocked a ball away from an opposing player past the right side of the goal, and when the Colonials centered the ball in the box the goalkeeper was able to dive back and make a save with under two minutes remaining. Margulies finished the night with three saves.

Opposing goalie Jack Holub (Sherman, CT) stopped some Union chances, finishing with eight saves in the game.

In the first half, Union out shot the Colonials 13-2 but could not capitalize with a goal. The Dutchmen had their chances and were very close to notching a goal but two shots found the crossbar, leaving them inches away from taking an early lead.

Men's soccer will return to action this weekend with two games in the MCLA Tournament, beginning on Saturday at 12 p.m. against the host school.
