Union is coming off a 2-1 setback at the hands of RPI on Nov. 16. Sophomore forward Callee Haywood scored her first goal of the season late in the third period and seemed to ignite the Dutchwomen. However, the Engineers notched the game-winner with less than five minutes remaining. Senior goaltender Lundy Day turned away 27 shots.

Union is 12-6-1 against Sacred Heart in a series that dates back to 2000. The Pioneers began the series with a seven game unbeaten streak, posting six wins and one tie. Lately, however, Union has won 12 straight, including three in 2007-08.

Union is 5-3 all-time at Sacred Heart and last lost to the Pioneers on Nov. 29, 2003 (3-2).
