Anne Hanson# has been named to the 2008 Liberty League Field Hockey All Star First Team. In addition, six other Dutchwomen received league recognition.

Hanson has helped Union to 47 wins during her four year career, the most of any senior class in Union history. She has five goals and six assists for 46 points with 46 shots. She had seven shots on net in a win over Castleton and four on net in a win over Utica. Hanson had a goal and assisted on the other in a 2-1 win over Rochester. She scored in the first win over William Smith since the 1980 season. Hanson also earned a Liberty League Performer of the Week honor.
Powers leads Union in points (19), shots (59) and is tied for the lead in shots on goal (37) with four game winning goals. She had two goals and six shots, five shots on net, in a win over Utica. She had a goal and an assist each against Hamilton and New Paltz. In her last two regular season games, Powers had two goals and five points. She had three games of four or more shots on net and 12 games with multiple shots on goal. In the Liberty League, Kelsey is sixth in the league in shots, fifth in shots per game, and tied for fifth in shots on goal.
Willey leads Union in points with 20 and goals with 10. She scored two goals each in wins over Castleton and New Paltz, and has six points in the final two regular season games. She has five goals and 10 points in her last four games entering the playoffs. Willey had 11 shots and 10 on net in the game against Castleton and scored the eventual game winner at RPI in the win that clinched a league playoff berth. She has 17 shots on net in her last four games. In the Liberty League, Tyler is fourth in goals and goals per game, tied for fifth in shots on goal and third in shots on goal per game.
King has started in 16 games this season and Ryan has started all 17 games. The Dutchwomen have allowed just 16 goals in 17 games. These backs have helped Union allow just 8.5 shots per game, and only 4.9 shots on net this season. In the Liberty League, Union is ranked first in shots allowed and shots on goal allowed, and second in points allowed, goals allowed and goals against average.
Stanford leads the Liberty League in goals against average (0.74), and has allowed just nine goals in over 856 minutes of play this year. She has an 11-3-0 record and has shutouts against William Smith (the first win over the Herons since 1980), Oneonta and Nazareth. She had nine saves at St. Lawrence, and seven saves each against Skidmore, Williams and Nazareth. Stanford has won eight of her last nine decisions. During her career, Union has won 47 games, the most of any senior class in program history. Stanford was named a Liberty League Co-Defensive Performer of the Week twice this year, including on November 3.
Moran has started all 17 game for the Dutchwomen. She is second on the team in game winning goals, scoring the winner against WPI, Hartwick, Williams and New Paltz. She had two goals vs. WPI and three points vs. New Paltz. She has a 76.5% shot on goal percentage and has a shot on goal in all but three games this season.
Union opens Liberty League Championship Tournament play Friday, November 7 vs. Skidmore in a semifinal game at St. Lawrence at 2 p.m.
