Joyce receives first Liberty League weekly honors of the season

SCHENECTADY, NY -- Union College attack Kristin Joyce received Liberty League honors in the first week of the 2010 season. The junior was named the Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the Week for games through March 7, and shared the honor with RPI's Afton Marshall.

Joyce scored 11 goals in two games on the road against ranked opponents. She scored seven goals with 11 shots, nine on net, and tallied two on free position at #11 Babson. Joyce had four goals with seven shots on net and 12 total shots in a game at #17 Stevens. Joyce moved into seventh all-time at Union in career points with 157 and is now also seventh in career goals with 130.

This is the fourth Liberty League weekly honor in Joyce's career.

Union (0-2), now ranked #14 in this week's ICLCA Division III Poll, opens the home season Saturday, March 13 vs. St. John Fisher at 1 p.m. at Frank Bailey Field.
