MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Union College track and field team competed at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday. #
Ryan Owen# and #
William Scarborough# highlighted the Dutchmen with a first and second place finish in the 100 meter dash. #Bethany Crowe# highlighted the Dutchwomen by winning the 400 meter hurdles.
Owen turned in a time of 11.54 to win the 100 meter dash. Scarborough marked a time of 11.75 along with Wesleyan's Allen Mack to finish runner-up. #
Gabe Sturges# also picked up a first place finish in the 5,000 meter run. Sturges marked a time of 16:38.01.

Davis Barber# picked up two second place finishes. His first second place finish was in the 200 meter dash in 23.15. Owen finished behind Barber in 23.50. Barber's other second place finish was in the 400 meter dash, turning in a time of 50.75.

Danton Brewington# had multiple top five finishes. He finished third in the shot put (13.22m) and fourth in the hammer throw (34.86m). #
Thomas Albano# finished second in the pole vault, reaching 37.46m while #
Sean Gorski# finished third with a distance of 3.52m.

John Peters# finished second in the discuss throw, reaching 37.46m.
Crowe won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.73. Westfield State's Kim Conaut finished runner-up in 1:12.76.
Other notable Dutchwomen finishes include #Kaitlin Camilleri# finishing second in the hammer throw, reaching 37.46m. #Rebecca Skudder# taking third place in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:05.37. #Ramsey Steiner# also finished fifth in the event in 5:15.60.
The team of Crowe, #Michelle Richter#, #Sarah Marchand# and #Clarissa Odence# won the 4x400 meter relay in 4:22.74. Smith College finished second in 4:33.49.
Both the Dutchmen and Dutchwomen head to Vassar College for the Liberty League Championships on April 17. The meet is schedule to start at 11 a.m.
