SCHENECTADY, NY -- Union head football coach John Audino has announced the captains for the 2010 season. Each of the players will be seniors in the fall, RB Chris Coney, DE Chris Gross, OL Mark Herrington and DE Andrew Trochanowski.
“We are very pleased with the group of captains that have been elected by our players and coaches. This group provides experience on the field as well as off the field with all of the community service and dedication to the program that they have demonstrated over the years. They are well respected by their peers and the coaching staff, and they will provide us with a solid base for our 2010 season."
Coney had 1164 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2009. He was a three time league offensive performer of the week. He had 15 rushing touchdowns and became only the second player ever at Union to post two 1,000 yard rushing seasons.
