Biography
2013: Finished 3rd for the Dutchmen in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:41.37 on 4/6 at the Roadrunner Invitational. Finished 4th in the 10,000-meter run at the Liberty League Outdoor Track & Field Championships on April 20th with a time of 32:37.12...Named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
2011-12: During this season, Sturges won the 3K steeplechase with a time of 10:54.93 at the Wesleyan Invitational...took eighth in the 10K with a time of 34.36.40 at the Liberty League Championships...
2010-11: During this season, Sturges ran the 10000m at the Hamilton Invitational on April 2 which he won with a time of 33:30.86... At the Weslyann Invitational on April 9 he placed 2nd in the 5000m with a time of 15:44.08.
Prior to Union: Attended Catskill High School...Patroon Conference three times 2 mile champion and Patron Conference two times 1 mile champion…2005 State Championship 25th place...two times Section Two 2 mile champion…Section Two steeplechase champion…seventh in steeplechase at 2009 state meet...majoring in Neuroscience.
