SCHENECTADY, NY - The Union men's ice hockey team, in coordination with Project: Cameron's Story will be conducting its second annual “bookraiser” in the front lobby of Messa Rink this weekend on Feb. 15-16 when the Dutchmen take on Yale and Brown, both games starting at 7:00 p.m..
Project: Cameron's Story, a local initiative, supports the bonding of parents with their premature babies through the use of children's literature and storytelling in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) at Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital and Crouse Medical Center. The mission of Project: Cameron's Story is to place a brand new, quality, children's book in the hands of every parent of a premature baby upon admission at each of the local hospitals.
The Union men's ice hockey bookraiser is part of the 4th Annual Project: Cameron's Story Bookraising Event running from February 16th to February 20th in coordination with local bookstores in the Capital District. Union assistant coach Jason Tapp and his wife, Nicol, have been involed with Project Cameron's Story for several years and have led the effort to extend the event to Union College.
