Built in 1987 as an improvement on the old Foote Pool that resided in the basement of Alumni Gym, the Alumni Gym Pool serves as the home for the Union College swimming and diving programs. The pool has received many improvements over the years, including a new scoreboard, lighting, record board, and banners showcasing Union's history of Liberty League championships and individual national champions. The walls are also lined with the many All-America plaques that Union student-athletes have earned throughout the years. The pool itself features a movable bulk head that splits the interior into an eight-lane, 25-yard pool and a dedicated diving well. In 2019, the Dutchmen and Dutchwomen benefitted from the complete renovation of the Alumni Gym locker rooms, which created dedicated space for the Union swimming and diving teams for the first time. Thanks to the generosity of Rupert Huse '56 and Bruce Goldberg '73, the teams have their own space with individual lockers, couches and a television in which to congregate before and after practices and meets.
