The Union College Athletics Department is committed to continued progress in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion. This commitment demands that we all engage in purposeful work to address our shortcomings and pursue opportunities for growth. We commit to learning through education, gaining empathy through discussion, and creating change by developing policies that clearly outline standards and expectations. Our goal is to create an environment where every individual is welcomed, supported and empowered, in order to enrich the Union College experience.
Charge of the Committee on Athletics Inclusion
To bring together Union Athletics and key campus stakeholders in the shared commitment to create and foster a culturally welcoming environment. The committee will identify and deconstruct barriers to equity and access, while seeking opportunities for growth and progress toward greater enrollment, inclusivity and success of underrepresented student-athletes and athletics staff.
