The Union College Athletic Communications Department promotes and serves over 600 student-athletes on the Schenectady, New York campus. For media inquiries, including requests for credentials (including print media, broadcast media and photography), please see the media policies below and contact the appropriate individual affiliated with that sport (assignments subject to change).

MEDIA POLICIES
Credentials
Credentials are issued to members of the working media only and are required for all those wishing to cover Union College football and hockey. Requests for credentials can be made with the appropriate primary sport contact and must be made at least 24 hours prior to a contest. For road games, media must contact the host school's Athletic Communications Office to request credentials.

Player/Coach Interviews
All interviews with players and coaches outside of postgame availability must be arranged through the Athletic Communications office at least 24 hours in advance, with exceptions made for time-sensitive awards and other unique circumstances. No pregame interviews on game day will be granted.
 
Postgame Interviews
For all home games and away games with a Union SID present, coaches and select players may be made available to the media after a brief cooling off period, generally 10-15 minutes after the game. For road games where no Union SID is present, a member of the Athletic Communications office can arrange for a postgame Zoom meeting with the head coach after the cooling off period. Please contact a member of the Athletic Communications staff either before or during the game to arrange for postgame interviews.
 
Practices
Union College practices are closed to the media unless prior permission is granted. Please contact the appropriate member of the Athletic Communications office at least 24 hours in advance to make arrangements for attending a practice.

Locker Rooms
All Union College locker rooms are closed to the media for all home and road games.

Press Box
Complete individual and team statistics and play-by-play will be available to the media following the game. Wireless and hard-wired internet access is available in M&T Bank Center and Frank Bailey Field. Access to the press box in M&T Bank Center and/or Frank Bailey Field begins one hour prior to the start of a scheduled event. No access will be available before that time.

Weekly Hockey Media Availability
Head coaches and select players from the Union men's and women's hockey teams meet with the media each game week at a predetermined time. Please contact a member of the Athletic Communications office in advance to request specific student-athletes.

ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS RESOURCES
As of the 2025-26 school year, Union College has reverted back to the "Block U" logo and an updated "Circle 1795" logo as the primary marks of the Department of Athletics.  Please use one of those two marks only for Union Athletics.

STUDENT-ATHLETE BIO QUESTIONNAIRES
All Union student-athletes use ARMS to fill out their annual bio questionnaire forms. Student-athletes who do not fill out a newcomer bio form will not have their name listed on team rosters.
