The Dutchwomen got off to a great start under first-year head coach Sandy Collins as they won their first-ever Vassar Invitational. After losing the opening game to the host Brewers, Union defeated Montclair, Rochester (the Dutchwomen's first-ever victory over the Yellowjackets) and then beat Geneseo in a five-set championship showdown. sophomore Corrin Jordan (New Hyde Park, NY/Herricks High School) who had 47 kills, four service aces, eight digs and four blocked shots, was named to the All-Tournament team.
