GENEVA, N.Y. Sophomore guard Erika Eisenhut scored 16 points, dished out six assists, pulled down five rebounds and came up with four steals in 33 minutes to help the Dutchwomen remain undefeated in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 67-62 victory over homestanding William Smith. Union, now 5-0 in the circuit and 12-2 overall, rallied from a 32-26 halftime deficit by shooting 51.7% from the field (12-for-21) in the second half while holding the Herons to just 10 field goals in 26 attempts (38.5%).

The Herons, now 7-7 overall and 2-2 in the UCAA, got off to a great start, using a 12-0 run to erase a 6-3 deficit. Sophomore guard and freshman forward Ashley Rodger keyed the run with five points apiece. William Smith led by as many as 11 in the first half enroute to its six-point advantage at the break.

The second half proved to be a back and forth affair, as the lead changed hands five times. The Herons and Dutchwomen also forged four during the second 20 minutes. The turning point proved to be an 11-0 run by Union in the waning minutes. Junior guard Tara Brisson gave William Smith a 56-50 lead at the 6:54 mark beforee Union scored the next 11 points, including six by Eisenhut. The Herons twice crept to within a point in the final three minutes, but could not reclaim the lead.

Union junior guard Melissa Marra and classmate forward Katlyn Cunningham both scored double digits for Union with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Junior forward Emily Scott led the Dutchmen on the boards with nine rebounds.

Brisson led William Smith with 15 points, while Rodger produced a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Young finished with 12 points, five steals, and four assists.
