SCHENECTADY, N.Y.Freshman Chris Poey tallied his fifth goal of the season and Union's defense made it stand up by giving up just one shot as the Dutchmen defeated St. Joseph's of Maine, 1-0, in a non-league men's soccer game.

     The victory improved the Dutchmen's overall record to 7-6.

    Poey scored in the 86^th minute off a cross from classmate Andrew Jacobson. Junior goaltender Matt Mayerhofer did not have to make a save while coming up with his second victory of the season.
