Arcidicano, Marotti Lead Union over Coast Guard, 19-7

NEW LONDON, CT--Tom Arcidicano rushed for a career-high 226 yards and two touchdowns and Anthony Marotti completed 19 of 27 pass for 231 yards to lead Union to a 19-7 Liberty League victory over the United States Coast Guard Academy. 

The win improves Union's league record to 4-0, 4-2 overall, while the Bears fall to 0-4 in the conference, 1-5 overall.

Arcidicano scored on a one-yard run with 3:56 left in the first quarter to cap an 11-play, 81-yard drive.  Ben Rapple's PAT kick gave Union a 7-0 lead.  After the Bears tied the game at 7-7, Sean Washington put the Dutchmen up for good when he scored from four yards out with 2:27 left in the opening half.  Rapple missed the PAT attempt leaving Union with a 13-7 lead.

Arcidicano's four-yard touchdown run with 7:10 remaining in the game provided Union with the final margin as the two-point conversion pass failed.

The Dutchmen finished the game with 504 total yards to just 209 for the Bears.  Union gained the Bears on the ground, 273-52.
