Box ScoreJunior attack woman Molly Flanagan scored Union's first four goals of the second half and finished the game with eight points on seven goals and an assist as Union remained undefeated in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association with a 16-6 lacrosse victory over Clarkson.
The Dutchwomen are now 4-0 in the conference and 6-2 overall. Clarkson, meanwhile, fell to 0-4 in the UCAA and 2-4 overall.
Flanagan, the Dutchwomen's leading scorer with 35 points on 26 goals and nine assists, sparked Union's game-opening 4-0 run by scoring back-to-back goals at 24:22 and 16:22. Emily French had given Union a 1-0 lead at 27:44 and Julia Davis made it 2-0 just 43 seconds later as she found the back of the net for the 12th time this season.
The Golden Knights closed to within 4-3 as Lindsay Roberts started the run at 14:25 with Lindsey Grigg finding the back of the net twice, at 13:51 and again at 12:32. That was a close as the visitors would come as Union scored the game's next three goals with Corinne Hennessy, Kathy Dolezal and Stephanie Cronan doing the damage to help the Dutchwomen to an 8-5 advantage at the half.
Flanagan put the game away early in the second half as she gave Union a 10-5 lead and then, after a goal by Roberts, made it 12-6 with back-to-back tallies. Molly Kosch accounted for two of the Dutchwomen's final four goals over the final 3:21.
Starting goaltender Corey Bralower picked up her third win of the season despite not having to make a single save. Rachel Beckman played the final 30 minutes, stopping two of the three shots she faced.
Senior Allison Morlock was outstanding in goal for the Golden Knights as she recorded 23 saves, 12 of which came in the first half. Roberts finished with three goals for Clarkson while Abigail Unangst and Lindsey Grigg each had two.
