Middlebury downs Dutchmen, 21-2

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. Middlebury, the country's second-ranked Division III team, scored the game's first eight goals on its way to a 21-2 win over Union on Kohn Field.

The loss dropped Union's overall record to 2-6 while Middlebury remained undefeated at 7-0.

Thirteen different players scored in the game for the Panthers, led by Jonathan Sisto and Nick Bastis, who scored three goals apiece. Mike Saraceni was the top point collector with two goals and four assists while Andrew Giordano scored a pair and assisted on another.

Peter Gross and Ian Stevens had Union's two goals.

Four Middlebury keepers split time in net with Eric Krieger playing 30 minutes and making a pair of saves. Alex Palmisano, Ned Courtemanche and Matt Levy combined to make five saves in the game's other 30 minutes. Will Tamm and Robert Oram combined to make 20 saves in goal for Union.
