Hamilton Rallies Past Union, 68-66

CLINTON, NYNick Jones hit a three-point play with 38 seconds left to give Hamilton a one-point lead and Tim Welchons converted one of two free throws with six seconds showing as the Continentals rallied to defeat Union, 68-66, in a Liberty League basketball game.  The loss dropped the Dutchmen to 2-2 in the circuit and 8-7 overall while the Continentals 3-1 in the circuit, 8-6 overall.

Senior forward Devon Bruce, whose 20-point performance enabled him to join the Dutchmen's 1,000-Point Club at 1,008, gave the Dutchmen a eight-point lead, 61-53, when he hit a jumper and free throw with 5:24 left to play.  Union led by seven, 64-57, with 4:06 left on Joe Mackey's three-point field goal before Hamilton scored nine of the game's final 11 points.  The Dutchmen hit just one of five field goal attempts in the final three minutes.

John Cagianello had 18 points for Union while Mackey finished with 10.  Bruce led Union on the boards with eight rebounds while junior guard Chris Murphy handed out eight assists.
