CASTLETON, VT -- Kristin Murphy (Branford, CT/Branford) scored in the 93rd minute to lift Union to a 3-2 field hockey victory in double overtime at Castleton Tuesday.

Murphy took a pass on the left side from Hillary Benoit (Sudbury, MA/Lincoln Sudbury) and one-timed the game-winner at 93:30. Benoit tied the game at 68:25 to force the game into the overtime. Katie Bellucci (Pawling, NY/Pawling) scored the first Dutchwomen goal at 18:40 of the contest.

Carrie Black and Heather Loomis scored the goals for Castleton (6-6). Elisa Wakeland (Kennebunkport, ME/Kennebunk) made seven saves for the Dutchwomen (6-5), while Jessica Viens and Trisha Clark combined for 16 saves for the hosts.

Union has now won two straight and has played two double-overtime games in the last three contests. The Dutchwomen return to Liberty League play Friday at the University of Rochester.
