th minute by Union College junior
Tripp Pietrak (Amherst, NY/ Canisius High) lifted the Dutchmen to a 1-0 Liberty League win over Clarkson University Friday afternoon at Clarkson field. The Dutchmen, now 6-1-0 (1-0-0 LL), held a 15-5 shot advantage in the game, and outshot the Golden Knights 3-0 in overtime.
After receiving a pass from senior defender
Brendon Keinath (Wlibraham, MA/Minnechaug), Pietrak carried the ball up and slid the ball past diving Clarkson goaltender Jonathon Rushing (Paw Paw, MI/ Paw Paw). Rushing made 10 saves on the day.
Union College goaltender
Rob Kramer (Westport, CT/Staples) made one save in the first half for his third win and first shutout of the season.
The Dutchmen are back in action Saturday afternoon in a 2 p.m. Liberty League contest at St. Lawrence. Clarkson hosts Skidmore in a Liberty League game at 2 p.m. Saturday.
