SCHENECTADY, NY – Union and Plattsburgh battled to a scoreless double overtime tie in a non-league men's soccer contest at College Park Saturday night. The Cardinals competed in the NCAA Division III semi-finals last season.
The Dutchmen are now 6-1-2 on the season while the Cardinals stand 7-2-2.

Rob Kramer (Westport, CT/Staples) made a season-high 13 saves in the full 110 minutes of work for the Dutchmen. It was his first action after being named the Liberty League Co-Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the week. His counterpart, Ryan Toale (Brampton, ONT/Notre Dame) made five saves in the nets for the Cardinals. Kramer recorded his third shutout of the season while Toale had his second.
Union was outshot in the contest, 20-8, including 13-6 after regulation. The visitors had five corners while the Dutchmen had four corners for the game. Plattsburgh's Ryan Forsberg (Endicott, NY/Herkimer CC) posted five shots while Mark Misiak (Mississagua, ONT/St. Martin's) had four shots.
The Dutchmen return to action on Friday, October 6 to host Rensselaer at 4 p.m. for a Liberty League contest.
