Box Score ROCHESTER, NY -- The Union College field hockey fell, 2-1, at Nazareth Sunday afternoon. Mallory Mason (Southborough, MA) scored Union's goal early in the game, but the Golden Flyers came back with a pair of unanswered tallies. Union drops to 9-4 on the season.
Mason netted her seventh goal of the season in the 12th minute, with an assist from sophomore Allie Ryan (Westborough, MA).
Kelly Miranda scored the equalizer at 26:00 to knot the game headed into the half. Shots were equal after 35 minutes of play.
The Golden Flyers held a slim advantage in shots in the second half with a 7-6 lead. They scored the game-winner in the 45th minute when Kelly Flanagan netted an unassisted tally, her 11th goal of the season.
Union goaltender Liz Stanford (Acton, MA) made six saves in the loss, with four coming in the second half. Kelsey Evans made three saves for Nazareth.
Union is back in action on Tuesday, October 16, when the Dutchwomen host Hartwick in a 4 p.m. game.
