BALTIMORE, MD – The Union College men's lacrosse team broke a three-game winless streak with a 19-10 win over SUNY Potsdam at Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.
Chris Collison (Trumbull, CT/ Trumbull) led the Dutchmen with six goals and an assist, while
Kevin Rautenstrauch (West Seneca, NY/ St. Francis) registered a goal and an assist and led the team in faceoffs, going 11-for-16 on the draw.
Union (2-3) held a 4-0 first quarter lead and extended it to 9-5 at the end of the first half. The Dutchmen outscored the Bears, 3-2, in the third quarter and added seven fourth-quarter scores.
Jon Miller (Yarmouth, ME/ Yarmouth) had three goals and an assist for the Dutchmen, who saw 14 players register points, while
Scott Garibaldi (Summit, NJ/ Summit) added two goals. Senior
Bill Condon (West Hartford, CT/ Conard) added two goals and an assist.

Rob Oram (New Canaan, CT/ New Canaan) made 14 saves in the first 52 minutes of the game, and freshman
Rahde Franke (Harwood, MD/ Mercersburg Academy) stopped two shots in the final eight minutes.
Union held a 44-25 advantage in groundballs and outshot the Bears, 39-31 overall, in the two teams' first meeting since 1992.
Union opens Liberty League play at home on Saturday, March 21 against cross-town rival Rensselear at 1 p.m.
