SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Union College men's lacrosse team improved to 4-0 with a 13-5 win over Susquehanna at Sassafras Field Friday evening.
Chris Collison (Trumbull, Conn.) paced the Dutchmen's offense with three goals, while three other players each recorded two.
Goals by Collison and Miller put the Dutchmen up two before Greg Burns put Susquehanna within one early in the first quarter. Union rattled off a pair of goals to hold a 4-1 lead at the end of the opening frame before netting six straight tallies in the second quarter. Susquehanna added its second tally with 13 seconds remaining in the half.
The Crusaders picked up two of three second-half goals to start the third quarter before Union recorded three straight on tallies by Garibaldi, Simmons and Doug Richardson (Lynnfield, Mass.).
Union continues its Mid-Atlantic swing with an 8 p.m. game against McDaniel College at Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University on Tuesday, March 25.
