SCHENECTADY, NY – Women's soccer senior forward Bianca Germain has been named the Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Germain and the fourth-seeded Dutchwomen are on the verge of its conference semi-final game at top-seeded William Smith on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m.
Germain had a career day on what could have been her final home contest. She scored three goals and added an assist in Union's 9-0 win against Elms on Friday, Oct. 30. She scored three goals on five shots.
As for the postseason: Wednesday's matchup will be the second of the season between the two teams with the first coming on Oct. 25 at William Smith. Union lost that game 1-0.
The winner of the semi-final game will take on the winner of third-seeded Hamilton and second-seeded Skidmore. The Liberty League Championship will be on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the highest remaining seed's home field.
