SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – On the final home match of the season, the Union College volleyball team was set back by Oneonta State 1-3 (21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 17-25) on Tuesday.
In the first two games, Union had its ups and downs. But the Dutchwomen kept the two games close, including tying the second game at 18.
In the third game, Union got off to a rocky start, losing the first four serves. But the Dutchwomen bounced back and took the lead 6-5. Union extended its lead 16-10. Union would go on to hold the lead and take the third game.
Union will now head to Poughkeepie, N.Y., for the Liberty League Tournament. The Dutchwomen will face Vassar on Friday at 4 p.m., followed by Clarkson at 6 p.m.
