SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY-- The Union volleyball team split two matches on the second day of the Skidmore Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Dutchwomen fell in their first match of the day 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 16-25) to Ithaca. #Jordan Remillard# reached a career milestone as she recorded the 500th kill of her career. Eve Richards had 12 kills and six digs while Erica VanValkenburg has 26 digs.
Union won their second match of the day 3-0 over SUNY Plattsburgh (25-23, 25-19, 25-21) to snap a five game losing skid. Richards had 10 kills and eight blocks. Remillard recorded nine kills and six blocks. Mackenzie Westfall had 25 assists and VanValkenbrug had 24 digs.
Richards was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
Next up for the Dutchwomen are the Liberty League Championships hosted by St. Lawrence next Friday at 4 pm.
