Dutchwomen lose to No. 10 Cornell in final game of the 2009-10 season

ITHACA, N.Y. -
The Union College women's ice hockey team lost 6-1 to No. 10 Cornell on Saturday in it's final game of the 2009-10 season. Union finishes the season 5-28-1 overall and 1-20-1 in ECAC Hockey play.

Freshman Alana Marcinko made 32 saves in goal for the Dutchwomen. The contest also marked the final game for senior defenseman Jackie Koetteritz, who has now played 125 games in her career, the most in a Dutchwoman uniform.

Cornell's Amanda Young broke the ice 5:34 into the first period scoring on the power-play. Cornell extended its' lead to two when Lauriane Rougeau scored 8:54 into the period. However, the Dutchwomen responded 50 seconds later when freshman forward Jeannie Sabourin put the puck into the net.
