Garibaldi leads men's lacrosse to comeback win versus Colby

STONY BROOK, NY --
The Union College men's lacrosse team scored six unanswered goals to defeated Colby, 7-6, on Friday at Stony Brook. Senior Scott Garibaldi netted the game-winner with only 12.9 seconds remaining, improving the Dutchmen's record to 5-1. Colby goes to 2-3.

Garibaldi led Union with four goals, including the game-tying goal with 1:40 remaining and the game winner only moments later. He registered Union's first goal in the first quarter.

Colby carried a 6-1 lead into the second half and led 6-2 into the final stanza. Garibaldi started the scoring in the fourth at 12:18 and junior Brendan Kinnane made it 6-4 on a man-up goal at 11:26.

Sophomore Ted McKenna picked up an assist on Kinnane's goal and then followed with a tally with 3:45 remaining on an assist from Garibaldi, making it 6-5.

Kinnane assisted on Garibaldi's tying goal, setting up the finish in the closing seconds.

Sophomore Sean Aaron registered 10 saves for his fifth-straight victory.

The Dutchmen return to action on Tuesday, Mar. 30 against Cobleskill at 4 p.m.
