ONEONTA, NY -- A ninth-inning comeback by the Union College baseball team came up short as the Dutchmen lost, 8-5, at Oneonta State on Wednesday evening. Sophomore designated hitter
Kevin Dexter produced a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4, and freshman third baseman
Emmanuel Fabre registered a team-high two RBIs.
With the setback, the Dutchmen go to 5-16, while the Red Dragons improve to 17-6.
After falling behind 2-0 after the first inning, Union evened things up in the top of the second when Fabre singled to centerfield to score freshman right fielder

The Red Dragon's established a 8-3 lead through eight innings and the Dutchmen began its attempt at a comeback in the ninth inning. Junior

At the end of the day, Union produced eight hits to Oneonta's 11. Ultimately, the Red Dragon's took advantage of six unearned runs.
Union returns to action on Saturday, April 18 with a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Liberty League foe RPI at Central Park.
