POTSDAM, NY -- Senior
Lauren McCormick posted her second double double in two nights, with 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead Union to a 57-46 Liberty League women's basketball win at Clarkson Saturday. The win was the eighth in nine games for the Dutchwomen, (9-4), who are now 4-1 in Liberty League play. The Golden Knights fell to 0-4 in the league and 3-11 overall.

Brittney Kenney scored nine points and pulled down seven boards while fellow freshman
Marissa Ray scored eight points.
Lauren Hennessey added six rebounds for Union, which shot 31% for the night and won despite 20 turnovers. Union held the hosts to 29% shooting. The Dutchwomen made 21 of 32 free throw attempts while the Golden Knights were seven of 11.
Casey Turner led Clarkson with nine points and eight rebounds, and Noelle Miller, Stacey Garcia and Lauren Pluchino each scored eight points.
Union led 24-20 at halftime. The Dutchwomen took a seven point lead at 31-24 on a three pointer by Ray with 16:25 left in the second half, but the Knights went on a 8-0 run in the next 3:06 featuring two rebounds and two points from Turner. But when Kenney made a layup with 5:58 left the Dutchwomen were up by 10, 45-35. Clarkson got to within three on a Green layup with 1:55 left, at 50-47, but Union got seven free throws to open up a 10 point lead again with 19 seconds left, the 57-47 final.
The Dutchwomen return home to host league rivals RPI Friday (6 p.m.) and Vassar Saturday (2 p.m.) at the Viniar Athletic Center.
