SCHENECTADY, NY -- Union College senior forward
Caroline Moran scored all three goals in the final game of her career, leading Union to a 3-1 victory over Vassar College on Senior Day at Frank Bailey Field Saturday afternoon. The Dutchwomen finish the season, the first for Head Coach
Kelly Harchetts, with a record of 8-9, and a six victory improvement from the 2011 campaign. Union wrapped up Liberty League play with a 2-4 mark. Vassar closes out 2012 with an overall record of 7-9 and an 0-6 league mark.
Moran ended her final season with nine goals and 19 points. She was honored prior to the game along with fellow seniors

Trista Johnson. Moran had seven of Union's 12 shots.
Molly McCune stopped two for the Dutchwomen, who had a 24-4 shot advantage and 15-3 advantage in corners.
Anna Schroeder scored for Vassar, while Maggie Brelis made nine saves in the visiting net.
Moran opened the scoring just 5:33 into the contest, when she scored on an unassisted tally. Her drive was a backhander that found the right of the net from nine yards out. Schroeder notched her sixth of the season at 19:44. She was awarded a penalty stroke and converted to tie the contest at 1-1, which held up at halftime.
Hannah Najar took a corner for Union and at 36:22, Moran took the feed from straight out in front of the Vassar cage and slapped home her second of the day for the eventual game winner (which would be her third game winning goal of the year). At 65:50,
Laura Pacheco fed Moran in the middle and the senior completed the hat trick from seven yards out for the eventual 3-1 final.
