SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Before finishing up the 2011-2012 season on the road at Princeton and Quinnipiac, members of the Union College women's ice hockey team spent time with local elementary school students here in Schenectady.
The team traveled to Van Corlaer Elementary School, and spent the afternoon going room and room and meeting with all of the classes. Visiting with students in first through sixth grade, the girls sat down in class with the kids and led discussions about school, hockey and answered any questions that they had. At the end of the day, they played a floor hockey game against students who had been picked by their classmates.
