Nate Greenberg and freshman attack
Nolan Stauffer each had two goals and sophomore goalie Stephan Basile made 13 saves to help Union men's lacrosse (2-1) earn a 10-6 win over Babson (3-1) at Frank Bailey Field.

Rob Santangelo had two assists and sophomore midfielder
Adam Rosenthal had a goal and an assist as well for the Dutchmen.
Babson's Kyle Barsalou had three goals and Alex Patinkin had a goal and an assist to lead the Beavers offense. James Whalen made 14 saves in net.
Union, which trailed 4-3 at halftime, outscored the Beavers 6-3 in the second half, including a run of five straight goals in the third quarter to take the lead for good.
Greenberg started the run with two consecutive goals, the first on a run to the net from the left side, beating Whalen with a low shot from just outside the circle at 12:32. On Union's next possession, Greenberg took pass from Santangelo and fired a diagonal shot from 10 yards out into the back of the net at 11:45 to give the Dutchmen a 5-4 lead.
Junior midfielder
Greg Mooney scored just over a minute later, taking a pass from Rosenthal and scoring from a quick shot out in front of the net at 10:17. Freshman attack
Paul Alberti scored his first career goal at 7:22 and Stauffer scored at the 3:00 mark to close out the run and put Union ahead 8-4.
Babson responded as Brad Bero beat three Union defenders, cutting to the middle of the field for an open shot past Basile at 2:29.
Then early in fourth quarter, Patinkin scored, lunging across the goal mouth for a shot at 11:05 to cut the Union lead to 8-6. But
Richard Gregory scored at 8:24 on a run from behind the Babson net, and
Joe Cordrey added a goal at 3:58 to seal the win.
Union got off to a quick start in the opening quarter, as senior midfielder
Kyle Christine took a pass from freshman
Sean Hanley and scored from out in front of the net at 14:43, and Rosenthal added a goal at 10:47 to put the Dutchmen up 2-0. Babson responded with three straight goals, including two from Barsalou, to take a 3-2 lead at 7:43 of the second quarter.
Stauffer responded with a goal at 5:43 to tie the game, taking a pass from freshman midfielder
Tom Stanton off a Babson turnover and diving just in front of the circle for a low shot past Whalen.
But Barsalou scored on a long shot from 15 yards out with 2:13 to go in the first half to put the Beavers ahead heading into the second half.
Union will take on Springfield in its first road contest of the season next Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
