SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Eight different players found the back of the net for Union as the Dutchwomen rolled to a 13-6 win against Rochester in a Liberty League lacrosse game on Saturday, April 6, at Frank Bailey Field. Union improves to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play, while the Yellowjackets drop to 2-7 overall and 1-3 in league play on the season.
After 10 scoreless minutes, the Dutchwomen scored a flurry of goals to go up 7-0. Sophomore Lauren Basil got Rochester on the board before senior
Heather Fraser netted her second goal of the day with just 1.5 seconds left on the clock to give Union an 8-1 lead at halftime.
Union and Rochester traded goals for much of the second half, with the Yellowjackets posting two in a row with less than seven minutes to play in the game, making the score 12-6 for the Dutchwomen. Union freshman
Michele Guyette capped the game's scoring with 2:47 on the clock to make the final score 13-6.
Heather Fraser paced the Dutchwomen with three goals, while her sister Brittany posted a goal and two assists. Freshman

Kim Grinhaus posted seven saves in the victory, including six in the first half when she limited Rochester to just one goal.
Basil paced Rochester with three goals and an assist. Freshman Elisabeth Watson scored two goals, and junior Sarah Skinner finished with a goal and two assists. Freshman goalkeeper Marissa Traina posted four saves in just over 41 minutes in net, including three in the second half.
Union outshot Rochester 23-16 on the afternoon, and picked up 25 groundballs to the Yellowjackets' 12. However, Rochester led 14-6 on draw controls.
The Dutchwomen travel to the North Country for Liberty League contests against Clarkson and St. Lawrence next weekend, April 12-13. Rochester will host cross-town rival RIT at 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 10.
