SCHENECTADY, NY - The Dutchwomen began their home invitational with a win over Bridgewater State before dropping a three-set decision to Susquehanna in the night cap on Friday evening inside the Viniar Athletic Center.
Rachel Wyman led the Dutchwomen with 12 kills in the 25-12, 25-19, 25-21 win over the Bears.
Lauren Woods added seven more kills to aid the Union attack.
Abigail Salamone handed out a team-high 13 assists and
Kat Moeller and
Amanda Price each recorded double-digit digs with Moeller picking up 12 and Price collecting 11.
In game two of the evening, Susquehanna improved to 18-6 as they defeated the "U" in straight sets, 25-15, 25-15, 25-22. Union falls to 16-7 overall with the defeat.
Woods notched a match-high nine kills and Kelly White earned seven of her own for the Dutchwomen attack. Price dished out a team-high 27 assists and Moeller picked up 21 digs to lead both sqauds. White also finished with double-digit digs as she recorded 12.
Union will wrap up their home invitational tomorrow afternoon when they sqaure off against Lasell College at noon.
