SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - The Dutchwomen played a full 10 sets on Saturday afternoon against St. Lawrence and RIT on the campus of Skidmore College as the "U" moved to 22-10 overall and 7-5 in the Liberty League.
Union let one slip away as the Saints rallied from two sets to one down to steal a victory for the Dutchwomen 24-26, 25-11, 25-22, 17-25, 9-15. However, in the second match of the day, Union pulled off the comeback as they defeated RIT in five sets 22-25, 30-28, 20-25, 25-17, 15-8.
After
Rachel Wyman picked up career kill #1,000 last night, she racked up 23 kills in the five sets to lead both squads.
Lauren Woods added 12 kills for the Dutchwomen.
Amanda Price dished out a match-best 35 assists and Kat Moeller recorded 30 digs for the fourth time this season as her total was a match-high.
In the second match of the day, Wyman one-upped herself as the junior put up a career-high 24 kills to lead Union to the five set, come from behind win over the Tigers.
Rajpreet Dhaliwal notched nine kills and Woods chipped in with eight of her own.
Price handed out 34 assists to lead the Dutchwomen. It was her
fifth game of the season 30 or more assists and her third in the last four matches.
Three Union members recorded 10 or more digs led by Moeller's 26. Kelley White had 19 and Price had 11 to give her a double-double.
Union will partake in the Skidmore Invitational to wrap up the regular season next weekend.
