POUGHKEEPSIE, NY  – Lauren Firlotte scored a career high 16 points to lead the Union men's basketball team to a 73-70 win at Vassar's Athletics and Fitness Center Gymnasium Saturday.

Firlotte, Ray Bethel, and Hython had 16, 12 and 10 points, respectively while starter, Winney, added 14.

The Dutchmen (9-12, 6-7 Liberty League) opened the second half with a 15-2 run, spanning over six minutes and giving the visitors a 54-41 lead. Terell Winney led the charge with six points while Ryan Whelpley, Laurent Firlotte and Deshon Burgess added the rest of the run. Vassar fought back with eight minutes remaining with a 16-3 run, taking the score from 64-52 in favor of Union and making it a 68-67 Vassar lead with 1:40 remaining. Luka Ladan scored eight of his 22 points in the spree while Mrlik managed five of his 22 tallies.
