PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The Union College men's soccer team fell to SUNY-Plattsburgh 3-0 on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Plattsburgh, New York. The defeat put the Dutchmen under the .500 on the 2014 season (2-3).

Alexis Archilla put the Cardinals in front right before halftime as he found the back of the net off the corner kick.

Ethan Votraw gave Plattsburgh (4-2) the 2-0 edge as he beat senior Ryan Carter on the penalty kick. Archilla netted his second his goal of the contest five minutes later to provide the Cardinals with 3-0 final.

Union struggled offensively in the match as the Dutchmen could only get off five shots in the 90 minutes of action. The "U" held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks but were outshot 9-5.

The Garnet and White will try and stop their current three-game losing skid this Wednesday as they host The Sage Colleges. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm at College Park.
