SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY—The Union College volleyball team went 2-0 to close out play at the Skidmore Invitational with victories over SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Potsdam.
The Dutchwomen defeated SUNY New Paltz 3-2 (18-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-5). They were led by
Ally VanDoren with 16 kills and
Kelley White with 11 kills.
Lauren Woods produced seven blocks (three solo, four assists), while
Amanda Price had 43 assists.
Katherine Moeller had 25 digs, VanDoren had 16 and
Lauren Gibson had 13.
Union was then victorious over SUNY Potsdam 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-9).
Morgan Clark had seven kills, while
Rachel Wyman and Woods shared equal kills with six each. Price had 20 additional assists and Moeller produced 16 digs.
The enter the Liberty League tournament next weekend at Clarkson where they will be the second seed and will take on either St. Lawrence or RIT in the opening round on Nov. 6.
