SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY—The Union College volleyball team split matches at the opening day of conference play against Vassar College and St. Lawrence University.
The Dutchwomen dropped a 3-1 (23-25, 23-25, 25-11, 23-25) decision to Vassar.
Rachel Wyman lead the way with 14 kills, followed by
Lauren Woods and
Kelley White with 10 kills each.
Amanda Price had 37 assists while
Katherine Moeller and
Brianne Hallock had 14 and 10, respectively.
Ally VanDoren had three aces and Woods had three blocks.
Union came back and defeated SLU 3-2 (25-19, 25-17, 21-25, 22-25, 15-13). Woods led the way with 13 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. VanDoren and Wyman both tallied 11 kills each.
Morgan Clark and Woods also made five blocks each. Price had another double-double with 43 assists and 11 digs. Moeller grabbed 20 digs.
The Dutch return home and face conference foes Bard and Clarkson at Viniar Athletic Center at 2pm and 4pm, respectively.
