SCHENECTADY, NY—The fourth-seeded Union College women's soccer team is set to take on top-seed and No. 1-ranked William Smith on Tuesday afternoon in its first Liberty League postseason appearance since 2012.
The Dutchwomen finished the regular season with a record of 8-5-4 and 3-2-3 in conference play, earning a berth in the semifinal on the last day of the regular season with a 3-2 win against Vassar.

Katie Monahan, who was named the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, leads the team with eight goals and 19 points, placing her fifth and sixth in the league, respectively. Junior midfielder
Sydney Keane is second on the team with 12 points, including a team-best six assists. In goal, sophomore
Kelsey Hartsoe has made 14 starts and holds a 7-2-4 record with a 0.94 goals against average and a .822 save percentage.
The Herons posted an undefeated regular season, going 16-0-0 overall and 8-0-0 in the Liberty League, en route to their ninth consecutive and 11
th overall regular season Liberty League title.
William Smith is led by senior Kara Shue, who produced a league-best 11 goals, 11 assists and 33 points on the season. Junior midfielder Evie Manning finished second on the team with nine goals and 22 points. Sophomore goalkeeper Veronica Romines made 13 appearances during the regular season, allowing just one goal and registering a league-best 0.09 goals against average. The Herons have shutout 10 consecutive opponents.
The winner of Tuesday's matchup faces the winner of Tuesday's semifinal contest between the No. 2 seed Vassar and the No. 3 seed RPI. The championship game will be played on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the home field of the highest remaining seed.
