CHESTNUT HILL, MA -- Erica Jones scored a game high 18 points and Taylor Ingram-Martin added 15 to lead Pine Manor College to a 73-61 non-league win over Union College at Brunelli Court Saturday. The Gators are now 3-4 while the Dutchwomen stand 2-3.
Shaquanda Middleton tallied 15 points with a game high seven rebounds and Shaneka Monroe scored 14 for Pine Manor, which shot 50% for the game. The hosts were outrebounded 43-29 but forced 26 turnovers.
Nicole Conley and
Jenni Barra led the Dutchwomen with 13 points each. Conley tied her career high in both points and rebounds (nine).
Krystal Edwards scored nine points and Barra and
Abby Katz had four assists each. Union shot 35% for the game.
The Gators outscored the Dutchwomen, 19-18 in each of the first two quarters for a 38-36 lead at the half. Union led 56-54 after three but Pine Manor held Union to seven fourth quarter points while scoring 19 in the final period.
Union continues a busy stretch with a non-league home game vs. Utica Monday night, December 5 at 6 p.m. at the Viniar Athletic Center.
