CANTON, NY—The Union College women's ice hockey team fell 2-0 to St. Lawrence on Friday evening at Appleton Arena.
The Dutchwomen held the Saints off for the first 12:46 before Kennedy Marchment took a shot from the inside of the left faceoff circle, it sailed in over
Melissa Black's left shoulder. Brooke Webster and Lydia Grauer both assisted in the goal.
St. Lawrence entered the second period up 1-0. For the first 18:57, neither of the teams could find the back of the net. With 1:03 left in the period, the Saint's Kirsten Padalis took a shot from the blue line and Kayla Nielsen poked one in from the screen.
The Dutchwomen's Black made 38 saves in the game, including 17 in the scoreless third period. Union had a 100 percent penalty kill percentage in the game.
Union faces off against No. 4/6 Clarkson, tomorrow February 6 at 4 p.m., at Cheel Arena. Â
